Getting Started: Artists / Labels / Promoters

Welcome artist, label or promoter! Let’s start from the beginning:

How do I get my music on Elbows?

Great question! As we’ve previously mentioned, we do not create original content and we do not link to mp3 files. That said, Elbows is a great resource for tracking your music in the music blogosphere.

So how do you get your music on Elbows?

First, search for music similar to yours. Find blogs that have written favorable things about those artists and reach out to them. The more blogs that post your track or video, the higher it will rise on our charts. That’s how the whole thing works. Nothing tricky behind the scenes, no sponsored placements or posts, just get posted on a lot of blogs.

What are some methods to follow what people are saying about my music?

Use our search often. That’s the easiest way to stay up to date. You can also get a feed for any search page by clicking on the orange feed icon on any search page.

You can also check our music, track and video charts often to see if your music shows up.

I don’t want my music on Elbows, how can I have it removed?

First of all, we don’t link to mp3 files, only to blog posts. If your music shows up on our site, it’s because it’s posted on a blog somewhere.

Although Elbows is only meant to give our users a taste of something different so that they can discover new artists, buy their albums, tell their friends, go to their shows and make them pretty darn popular with little or no effort or budget on the part of the artist or label, we understand that there may be some legal issues with the tracks listed on the site. Email us at info@elbo.ws and we will have it removed as soon as possible.
